Karen Moncrieffe

Children need to read and see examples of good writing to be able to produce their own. Model Texts for the Primary Classroom contain a variety of original fiction and non fiction writing models which pupils can use to help structure their own writing.

The texts are designed to meet the needs of the Primary Framework for Literacy and will save teachers from spending many valuable hours searching for suitable teaching resources. The cross curricular texts can also be used to provide teachers with ideas for extended writing sessions and to help teachers develop writing across the curriculum.

In addition, the books contain material that can help teachers to develop Assessment for Learning strategies during literacy lessons.
